Coping with the Imminent Legacy Systems Crunch

Thursday 14 August 2008

The Don Restaurant, London
In association with

NIIT

The skills base for most legacy languages and systems will cease to exist at some point during the next few years. The threat is compounded by the potential withdrawal of vendor support for a variety of reasons.

Without the right skills or vendor support, companies with legacy applications cannot guarantee effective management of their legacy estate - a job made more challenging by the ever-changing business landscape and rising costs of rarer skills.

Legacy systems, unless managed effectively, can constitute a risk, which needs to be mitigated at the earliest. This CBR Dining Club event combines pleasant surroundings and dining with the opportunity to learn and discuss:

  • The current state of affairs with respect to legacy systems and the consequent threats posed to organisations
  • The options available to proactively and effectively manage a legacy portfolio

Attend this event to hear from expert speakers: an independent analyst, and also a Legacy Management expert from event sponsor NIIT Technologies Ltd.
