Biography: Chris Scott is the Service Product Line Leader for Site Enablement Services in the North East Integrated Operating Team in IBM Global Technology Services in Europe. This is a cross industry line of services covering all sectors.
Chris has over 20 years experience in IT services in IBM. He started his career in the maintenance and support business as a hardware engineer where he worked for a number of years as both an engineer and in a variety of supervisory and management roles.
Chris’s knowledge of the importance of high system availability led to his appointment as a Project Manager developing high availability services and enhanced maintenance services on IBM’s Netfinity server range which eventually developed into the System x server range.
More recently, Chris has managed IBM’s support offerings in the Technology Transformation Services business where high availability and strict service levels are paramount.
It was also during this time that Chris joined a large project team working with the Royal Air Force where he had the lead responsibility for creating the hardware support plans and service level agreements to support the RAF’s logistics operations. Whilst working with the RAF, he was also introduced to Data Centre Design and Construction and the many technologies that support Data Centre infrastructure.

Biography: Brian is the Technical Director for Novell UK. In this position, he is responsible for managing a team of architects covering each of Novell's Business Units (Systems Management, Open Source Platforms, Security and Identity Management and Workgroup). Previously, Brian was Director of Solution Management and Marketing, EMEA. In this role, he was responsible for the go-to-market plans for Novell's solution areas, including the introduction of Novell’s new Linux and Security offerings into the EMEA market place after the acquisitions of SilverStream, Ximian and SUSE Linux. As well as Novell's workgroup solutions, he helped on established products such as NetWare and GroupWise. Prior to joining Novell, Brian worked for one of Europe’s biggest IT Services companies, Computacenter. and before that, a California-based hardware vendor – Advanced Logic Research, Inc. Brian Green has studied Electrical & Electronic Engineering, and is now based at Novell’s office in Bracknell, UK.
