The Groupon spinoff reaches 1.5 million deals a year after its launch.
Groupon Now! offers its users deals throughout the day within their local area. The real time, location based service accomplished in 12 months what took Groupon 15 months to do.
The service allows users to access deals local deals in any location they are in to quickly redeem deals on places to eat, shop, or have fun. Merchants have the capability of starting and stopping deals through Groupon Now! in order to control the traffic of customers coming to their businesses in real time.
"In just one year Groupon Now! has hit a milestone that took the original Groupon deal platform 15 months to accomplish," said Dan Roarty, VP of Groupon Now! "We continue to attract new merchants looking for an effective way to bring in a steady stream of customers on the days and times they choose and are now live in 31 of 175 North American Groupon markets with more launching soon."
The real time feature of the service is a potential way for interaction to constantly take place on Groupon.

Although the daily deals website is seemingly popular amongst consumers, Groupon Worldwide is currently facing troubles. Reports of consumer frustration for delays in deliveries in UAE have many asking for refunds.
Refund demands disrupted Groupon's share price bringing it to low levels and it was forced to restate its earnings last month due to accounting for refunds.
