Hewlett Packard Enterprise has launched its revamped services business under the brand Pointnext.
The organisation is made up of 25,000 industry experts in 80 countries with 30 languages and a wide variety of skills and experience. Their skills range from cloud migration to business transformation and operational optimisation. They run 11,000 projects a year and promises to get customers “from your now to your next.”
Antonio Neri, executive vice president and general manager, Enterprise Group, HPE, said in a statement: “Services are at the core of our ability to be that strategic partner to our clients and help them on their transformation journey. In fact, its role in our business has never been more critical.”
Pointnext will use HPE’s in-house technology as well as working with the company’s range of partners like Microsoft, SAP and others. It promises to help companies looking to digitally transform their infrastructure and services.
The division will concentrate on helping customers to make the best use of hybrid IT, real-time data analytics of business information, and mobile solutions and Internet of Things technology to offer new products and services and improve core operations.
HPE Pointnext will provide three types of services for different stages of the typical project: Advisory and Transformation, Professional and Operational.
Advisory and Transformation will help customers make best use of hybrid IT infrastructure and to find the right mix of public and private cloud platforms. It will also help enterprises make best use of big data analysis and the shift to the intelligent edge – putting computing resources where data is created and used. It will also improve the ability of enterprises to quickly deliver business critical applications and keep them updated over time.
The Professional Services group will use HPE’s existing experience, track record to allow companies to make these changes with the minimum of risks. Use of templates and blueprints from past projects will also reduce risk for customers and make sure services are delivered on time and on budget.
It will also help customers get the most out of their existing infrastructure and work on design, migration, implementation and final roll-out with the least possible disruption to existing services.
Finally the The HPE Pointnext Operational Services team will provide the best possible management tools for optimising workloads in order to get the very best from both on-site and cloud-based resources. They will ensure the best follow-up and support services so customers get the most from their investment.
The business will be run by Ana Pinczuk, a newcomer to HPE with previous experience at AT&T, Lucent, Cisco and most recently Veritas.
