Products promise security with double authentication
Aladdin Knowledge Systems Ltd, the company currently merging with SafeNet, has delivered two new options to secure data access for mobile workers.
eToken Virtual is a two-factor authentication system that will secure remote access and handle encryption and digital signing, completely in software.
Aladdin has also announced MobilePASS, a system that uses both two-factor authentication and one-time passwords to secure BlackBerrys, Windows Mobile devices and other smartphones.
The company said its software supports out-of-band SMS delivery and can also be installed on a laptop, desktop PC or saved on a flash drive.
Sales and development of Aladdin’s authentication and content filtering products are currently in the process of being merged with SafeNet’s enterprise data protection solutions for commercial and government customers.
Its software rights management offerings are being positioned alongside SafeNet’s software anti-piracy products in the merged business.
