Atempo Digital Archive, EMC Data Domain deduplication storage now more interoperable

Claims to provide tremendous storage efficiency and cost savings

Atempo, a provider of cross platform data protection and archiving offerings, has enhanced interoperability between its file archiving offering, Digital Archive, and EMC Data Domain deduplication storage systems.

According to Atempo, the interoperability of Digital Archive and Data Domain systems enables users to leverage Data Domain systems as target storage for Digital Archive. By combining Digital Archive with the leading deduplication storage systems, customers of any size from any industry can realise tremendous storage efficiency and cost savings.

In addition, users of the combined offering can free up space on their expensive primary storage by moving the inactive data with Digital Archive while benefitting from Data Domain's advanced data reduction technologies to save even more with their long-term archive.
