CENTRAL POINT BUYS LANLORD FROM MICROCOM FOR NETWORK MANAGEMENT LINE

CBR Staff Writer Published 31 January 1994

Beaverton, Oregon-headquartered desktop utility and network management software manufacturer Central Point Software Inc has bought LANlord, the workstation management product, from Microcom Inc. The deal, the financial terms of which were not disclosed, will enable Central Point to integrate LANlord into its network management product line, as well as giving the company all the assets of Microcom's Client/Server Technology Group. The development follows the acquisition by Central Point of XTree two months ago.
