Company to supply cloud-based backup and file management under its own brand powered by Cloudberry Lab software.
British open-source cloud provider DataCentred has entered into a partnership with CloudBerry to fully integrate its cloud object storage facility with CloudBerry Managed Backup.
The venture will provide DataCentred with white-label cloud-based backup and file management solutions which can be resold via managed service providers (MSPs).
Customers will be able to use these cloud-based backup and file management services, which DataCentred will provide under its own brand powered by Cloudberry Lab software.
The scheme will allow MSPs – by connecting their DataCentred account to CloudBerry managed backup services – to resell DataCentred object storage as a cloud backup solution.
According to DataCentred, end users will be able to leverage their investment in object storage, making it easier to manage the storage of data such as pictures, music and video files.
The partnership will also give MSPs a better grasp of their pricing and service plans they provide to their customers.
Including customers like Amazon S3, Amazon Glacier, Windows Azure, OpenStack and S3, MSPs will also be able to manage and monitor accounts, deliver remote access and offer multiple cloud storage options.
Dr Mike Kelly, CEO of DataCentred, said: "By connecting to DataCentred’s cloud object storage platform through CloudBerry Lab’s software, MSPs will be able to offer object storage systems of the highest quality to their customers, allowing them to cost-effectively and securely manage their backup data."
Aleksey Serkov, CTO of CloudBerry Lab said: "We are pleased to support DataCentred in CloudBerry solutions in order to offer United Kingdom resident cloud file management solutions and help even more customers adopt this leading cloud platform."
