Cameron joins Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney in LinkedIn’s new feature that allows members to follow influential thought leaders on the professional social networking site.
The Prime Minister accompanies 150 other influential figures on the site. Besides President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney, other leaders include Virgin founder, Richard Branson and Arianna Huffington.
LinkedIn members can now read about David Cameron's recent trip to Brazil as well as what other influential leaders on the site.
The posts from those these leaders will show up in a follower's newsfeed. LinkedIn members who follow top influencers will also be able to directly engage in conversation with them on LinkedIn.
Followers can read what the leaders are saying, like or comment on their posts and share with others in their network.
Including have access to status updates, followers will be able to see original and longer posts from influencers with videos, photos and Slideshare presentations.
Over the next few months LinkedIn plans to expand the list of influencers on the site, continuing to add well known thought leaders and industry specific leaders. LinkedIn members interested in becoming an influencer can also make a request.
