Extends apps support services contract by 5 years

Drinks giant Diageo has signed contracts worth around $35 million with CSC to develop a new supply chain and logistics system, and to continue the provision of some existing IT outsourcing services.

CSC will create a new supply chain management system for Diageo, based on SAP.

The system is intended to improve the visibility of the company’s drinks stocks, improve supply-demand ratios and reduce costs throughout the supply chain process, the companies said.

In addition, Diageo has extended its applications support outsourcing contract with CSC for five additional years, worth an estimated $28 million.

The services provider first began supporting Diageo in 1995.
