Want an SMB server that won’t break your budget?

IT budgets are tight, but SMBs' budgets are tighter still. With that in mind, it's crucial to be able to source servers strong enough to support your business without breaking the bank.

With servers from Fujitsu, Dell, SuperMicro, Lenovo and HP, this list we've compiled should help you find what you're looking for.

Fujitsu PRIMERGY TX100 S3 Xeon E3-1220 Tower

This server is aimed at small companies looking for a server featuring Intel Xeon support. It has 32GB of RAM. It's quiet, too, with a decent air flow system.

- up to 32GB of RAM
- 3.1GHz Quad Core Processor
- Four internal bays
- 1600 MHz memory speed

SuperMicro SYS-5038A-IL

SuperMicro's piece of kit comes at £267 for the most basic, no-frills version. The X10SAE motherboard also has 16 USB ports (six 3.0 and 10 2.0 ports), as well as SATA and Firewire ports.

You can also adjust memory for each virtual machine you import to it (up to 16 of them), meaning you can run a variety of different programmes each making different demands of the server, making it perfect for a firm carrying out a pretty eclectic range of jobs.

- 32 GB RAM
- Intel Xeon E3-1200 v3 and 4th Gen Core processor
- Four internal bays
- 1600 MHz memory speed
