The smartglass will be sold to developers for $1,298.
Lenovo has jumped on the smartglass bandwagon with the M100 smart glass, a prototype of which has been unveiled by the company for Chinese market.
The M100 smartglass looks similar to Google Glass, but has a different design and requires the users to wear the battery around the neck.
The Android-based smart glass includes features like Chinese language voice recognition, mapping along with several other cloud-based services.
Lenovo co-developed the glass along with Vuzix, a New York-based supplier of smart glasses and video eyewear.
However, Lenovo will be marketing the smart glass exclusively, while Vuzix will be the third party provider of the smartglass in China.
The smartglass is powered by Lenovo’s NBD, a partnership programme developed by Lenovo, which offers manufacturing, hardware research and logistic support to partners.
The prototype launch of the smartglass was an attempt by the company to attract developers and hardware manufacturers to the new device.
