Fortune3 adds Amazon's checkout system to eCommerce software

CBR Staff Writer Published 02 December 2009

Claims to provide interactive way of making payment

Fortune3 has partnered with Amazon to add the Amazon's checkout system to its eCommerce software, which it claims to provide a new interactive way of making a payment the retailer.

With features like the 1-Click Checkout and Payphrase, checking out with Amazon can be as simple as typing a word or clicking the mouse for Amazon account holders, the company claims.

According to Fortune3, the integration between Fortune3 and Checkout by Amazon allows users of the shopping cart software to send orders to Amazon for processing and to receive information about the order back from Amazon’s API to make the order process and management compatible on both systems.

The company said that the orders placed through Checkout by Amazon can be seen and managed by the store administrators in the Fortune3 administration site. Merchants changing the status of their Amazon orders to shipped, partially shipped, voided or refunded from Fortune3's Administration Site will find that the status of the orders will also be changed in their Amazon account, and payments will be automatically refunded when applicable.

In addition, the tracking information is also sent to Amazon when orders are shipped, so the customers will be aware of their order status, whether they check it in their Amazon account or on the online store’s order status section. The customer is informed of any changes made to the order by an e-mail from Amazon, the company said.
