Files can now be viewed easily in a Google+ user’s stream.
When links are now shared from Google drive, people in a user's Google+ circle will be able to browse through presentations and open PDF's within a user's stream.
"With Google+, you can share what you want with just the right people," said Li-Wei Lee, Software Engineer at Google. "That might be pictures from your weekend apple picking adventure or an article from your favourite new blog. Starting today, you can also share the stuff you create and store in Google Drive."
Google+ users can click the Google+ icon when sharing from Google drive or copy and paste a link to a file from Drive in a Google+ post.
Forms shared in the stream, like surveys, are also interactive in a stream.
Organisations that use Google Apps for Business, educational or government purposes can make their posts restricted to make sure discussions and documents are on visible to certain people.
Google recently made documents, spreadsheets and presentations, now called Docs, Sheets, and Slides, available as applications in the Chrome Web store. After installing, shortcuts to the applications appear when a new tab in Chrome is opened.
Chromebook users will see Docs, Sheets and Slides in their application lists after the next update to Chrome OS in the next few weeks.
