The company is celebrating is achievement by offering discounts over the next five days.
"Every day you'll be able to choose from a collection of apps from some of the world's top developers including Gameloft, Electronic Arts, Rovio, runtastic, Full Fat and more," And all for just 25 cents," said Google play digital content director, Jamie Rosenberg in a blog post.
Google will also be offering "25 themed" special collections like 25 movies you must own, 25 albums that changed the world and 25 top selling magazines for special prices.
The company recently reached its 20 million milestone in June this year.
While Google acknowledges its achievement the company's celebration may be short lived.
The searched engine was warned earlier this month by the EU chief that it could face charges for taking advantage of its dominate position in the market and breaking antitrust rules.
EU Competition Commissioner Joaquin Almunia said that concessions from Google, which is negotiating with the European Commission to resolve complaints from rivals including Microsoft, had not gone far enough.
"We are not there yet, and it must be clear that - in the absence of satisfactory proposals in the short term - I will be obliged to continue with our formal proceedings," Almunia said. "If effective solutions were found quickly and tested successfully, competition could be restored at an early stage."
The EU has been probing since 2010 to determine if Google's search engine supports its own assets by offering higher priority to them in search results while downplaying their rivals.
Google could be fined 10% of its global revenues if the case goes to court and Google is found guilty of antitrust rules.
