Infoblox rolls out new enterprise monitoring iPhone app

CBR Staff Writer Published 10 January 2010

Allows users to monitor DNS, DHCP and IPAM infrastructure

Infoblox has rolled out a new iPhone application iGrid App, an enterprise monitoring application for customers using the company's purpose-built systems for delivering core network services such as domain name resolution (DNS), IP address assignment (DHCP) and IP address management (IPAM) services, among others.

Infoblox said that the new app extends the power of the NIOS software version 5.0 GUI and allows easy monitoring for customers using Infoblox appliances with its grid technology that links multiple apps into the unified, centrally-managed, core network services platform.

According to Infoblox, the iGrid app provides network pros access to information regarding the health of their core network services. Through the application and the GUI, administrators can monitor their DNS, DHCP and IPAM infrastructure and associated data including software updates and upgrades, backups and restores, disaster recovery functions and all service management capabilities with the touch of a button.

In addition, the iGrid app provides appliance and hardware status for CPU usage, database capacity usage, LAN port, LCD, memory usage, replication and temperature.

Richard Kagan, vice president of marketing at Infoblox, said: “DNS, DHCP and IPAM services are mission-critical with availability required 24x7 in any organisation. The Infoblox iGrid iPhone App is important for our customers because it gives them the ability to easily and remotely monitor the real-time status of their Infoblox grids.”
