CBR Staff Writer Published 03 February 2012

Ensures inviolability of personal data in case of loss or theft of a device

Secure content and threat management offerings provider Kaspersky Lab is planning to unveil its new security offering for Android-based tablets.

The new Kaspersky Tablet Security is a specialised security offering that ensures both protection against malicious and fraudulent software, and the inviolability of personal data in case of loss or theft of a device.

The new release includes cloud technology support for antivirus technologies, web security and anti-theft protection.

In addition to the latest version of Kaspersky Tablet Security, Kaspersky will also introduce a beta-version of the new Parental Control product for Android and iOS operating systems.

Accompanying the launch, Kaspersky Lab CEO and co-founder Eugene Kaspersky will host a press conference: 'The Mobile Environment as a Paradise for Cyber Criminals.'

The conference will include the presentation of forecasts for the development of organised mobile cybercrime, how it is evolving out of traditional cybercrime and what makes it different.

Senior Malware Analysts Vicente Diaz and Denis Maslennikov will give an overview of the current mobile threat situation.
