LG will release its first 10 inch screen tablet as it adds three models to its G Pad series.
The G Pad 10.1, the 7-inch G Pad 7.0 and the 8-inch G Pad 8.0 put the Korean electronics giant in direct competition with Apple's iPad Mini and Samsung's Galaxy Note tablets.
The devices will be unveiled at the MedPI trade show in Monaco this week.
LG has yet to release any pricing details but the company's previous tablet offering, the G Pad 8.3, released last October, retails for around £200.
Full specifications will follow but based on the G Pad 8.3, the two larger-screen tablets should feature a processor capable of between 1.7 GHz and 2.3 GHz.
LG has revealed that all three of the devices will include software features including 'Knock Code' unlocking, whereby users enter a personalised 'knock pattern' security code, made up of between two to eight taps anywhere on the screen, to unlock or power up the device.
The devices will also support the updated QPair 2.0 capability, which allows users to connect to their Android smartphones via Bluetooth to sync, receive and reply to notifications of calls and messages directly from the G Pad.
"Customers tell us that they want a wider range of devices that offer sizable screens without compromising portability," said Dr. Jong-seok Park, LG CEO. "Unlike smartphones, tablets are not one size fits all. So we designed the G Pad Series for a diverse target audience, some who prioritize portability while others want the best multimedia experience possible."
Figures released last month by Strategy Analytics showed LG had 4.7% of the worldwide smartphone market in 2013. The company's most recent results showed it shipping 12.3 million smartphones in the first quarter of 2014, a number which should be boosted by the highly-anticipated G3 device, set for release later this year.
