The company reached 100 million members in March 2011, has doubled its number in less than a year.
New members are joining the professional social network at a rate of two per second.
LinkedIn currently has more than 160 million unique visitors each month and is the 23rd most visited website in the world.
The U.S. has the most LinkedIn members (74m) followed by India, (18m) the UK, (11m) Brazil (11m) and Canada (7m).
LinkedIn now reaches 200 countries and territories and is offered in 19 languages.

LinkedIn had strong Q3 2012 results with revenues increasing 81% compared to Q3 2011.
The company reported a net income of $2.3m compared to a net loss of $1.6m during Q3 2011.
LinkedIn's projects its revenue for Q4 2012 to range between $270m to $275m with stock based compensation to range from $28m to $30m.
