Apple has sold a record nine million new iPhone models within three days of their launch since 20 September 2013.
The US-based company has also announced that over 200 million iOS devices are currently running iOS 7, making it the "fastest software upgrade in history".
Femand for iPhone 5s has surpassed its initial supply, according to Apple, having scheduled the delivery of online orders in the coming weeks.
Apple CEO Tim Cook said this is the company's best iPhone launch yet.
"The demand for the new iPhones has been incredible, and while we've sold out of our initial supply of iPhone 5s, stores continue to receive new iPhone shipments regularly," he added.
The iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c were launched simultaneously and are available in the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the UK.
iPhone 5s is said to offer better smartphone experience with new features including the Apple-designed A7 64-bit chip, 8MP iSight camera with True Tone flash and the new Touch ID, which unlocks the phone with a finger touch.
iPhone 5s sales overtook company's iPhone 5 smartphone sales, which topped five million in the first week, while iPhone 4S sales topped around four million in the first week.
