Software giant Dell has been looking to increase its share in the tablet market after updating its line-up with new Windows tablets, called Venue Pro 8 and Venue Pro 11.
The Venue Pro 8 has an 8-inch display, while the Venue Pro 11 has a 10.8-inch display and both run on Windows 8.1.
Both models come with Intel Atom quad-core processors, codenamed 'Baytrail', with the larger 11-inch model also offering up a Core i5 processor and Intel VPro for manageability.
The Venue Pro 8 is now 8.9mm thin and weighs 400g whereas the Venue Pro 11 is 0.4 to 0.6 inches thick and weighs between 1.57 and 1.76 pounds depending on the configuration.
The 8-inch model has an HD IPS screen resolution of 1,280 x 800, along with a 1.2-megapixel camera, a 5-megapixel back camera, Wi-Fi connectivity, a SD card slot and HSPA+ as an optional extra.
The larger 1980 x 1080 IPS 10.8-inch display "provides ultimate 2-1 flexibility with the power of an Ultrabook, convenience of a detachable keyboard and experience of a desktop," according to Dell.
It comes with a rear-facing 8-megapixel camera, up to 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD, a replaceable battery and more accessories than its smaller companion.
Accessories include a stylus, a fingerprint reader and mobile keyboards, one of which includes a second battery, boosting its battery life up to about 17 hours.
Dell also designed a Desktop Dock for it, which allows users to work from their desk by making use of its dual display-out ports and USB 3.0 ports.
The Venue 11 Pro is priced at £349, excluding VAT and delivery and will be available in November, while pricing for the Venue 8 Pro has yet to be confirmed.
Alongside them, Dell also introduced a 7-inch Venue 7 and 8-inch Venue 8, both running on Android.
