Free 'Migrate Now' program opens the doors to mobile platform migration for businesses.

A mobility solutions firm has announced a new mobile migration program for businesses, which makes the migration from Blackberry to mobile platforms like iOS and Android completely free.

Good Technology's program offers BlackBerry customers free access to Good for Enterprise (GFE), Good Collaboration Suite andGood Dynamics Secure Mobility Platform, along with extended payment terms through June 2014.

The 'free' offer is valid until June 30, and marks the next step in the mass exodus of enterprise customers away from Blackberry.

At a webinar held by Good Technology last year, over 13% of 200 respondents reported they are already migrating or will be migrating off of BlackBerry within three months. Another 60% plan to migrate within the next three months to one year.

Good Technology says that the free "Mobilise Now" migration program provides a viable exit strategy for customers on current BlackBerry Enterprise Server or BlackBerry Enterprise Service maintenance contracts, who may have exhausted current budgets and feel they must wait to embrace the new mobile platforms their users are demanding.

“What we're seeing across the industry right now is not just a migration, but a transformation, with our customers seizing the opportunity to rewrite their mobile strategies," said Christy Wyatt, Good Technology CEO.

“Good has been the pioneer and leader in this space for over fifteen years.  Our long track record of innovation in secure mobility, along with the strength and stability of our business, allows us to offer BlackBerry shops a compelling exit strategy with the only complete solution and an aggressive offer to enable their move."

“There's no question that organisations using EMM tools that support a limited number of devices are seeing growing resistance among users," said Chris Hazelton, Research Director, Mobile & Wireless of 451 Group.

“Enterprises should look for solutions that allow them to analyse and adjust security models to ensure corporate data is protected in an increasingly mobile world. The use of cross-platform EMM solutions, such as Good's GFE and Collaboration Suite, will allow IT to support device diversity within organisations - which will provide a seamless way for employees to collaborate and share while using the mobile devices of their choice."
