Top 5 features of the LG G Watch
by Ben Sullivan| 12 May 2014LG's Android Wear-powered smartwatch will be released at end of June.
LG has released further details about its much anticipated G Watch.
Powered by Android Wear, Google's smartwatch operating system, LG showcased a video of the watch, outlining it in all angles, showing off its waterproof functionality, and giving the option of either a black or white colour scheme.
Claiming that 'LG defines the smartwatch', the video flaunts the watch's compatibility with Android phones, the all-metal body, and the impressive battery life.
An official release date has yet to be confirmed, but it has stated that the watch will be available for consumers during Q2, so we're likely looking at an end-of-June release.
Here are the top five features of the LG G Watch:
Coming in at a cheaper-than-expected £180 (or thereabouts), the LG G Watch does not seem to be initially overtly expensive. The Samsung Gear 2 comes in at a slightly larger £250, but LG has suggested its G Watch will be cheaper.
The LG G Watch features an all-metal chassis that is fully touchscreen. There are no exterior buttons to detract from the slick look of the watch, and there's not even a charging port, as the watch will likely be charged wirelessly - not via Micro USB.
