iPhone 5S outselling 5C two to one
The iPhone 5S is vastly outselling the 5C model in the US. Figures show that the 5S accounted for 64% of total sales in September, while the 5C only made up 27% of Apple handsets sold.
The news comes as Apple has made the decision to halve the production on the 5C models.
Production has been reduced from 300,000 handsets a day to just 150,000 as prices drop in a bid to attract customers.
The plastic-backed 5C model was intended as a cheaper alternative to target the smartphone mid-market - an area where Apple had been missing out due to its highly priced iPhone handsets.
New Nike Fuelband launched
Nike has revealed the latest edition of its fitness tracking gadget.
The second generation Fuelband lets users define the start and end of a session and tag it to identify intensity of exercise, whether it be yoga or sprinting.
The wristband features Bluetooth 4.0 which allows the device to automatically synchronise its data to an iPhone rather than having to programme the device manually.
The new design reportedly makes the device more flexible and waterproof so it can withstand getting wet in the rain but cannot be submerged for long periods of time, so cannot be worn swimming.
First mainland Chinese company opens in Tech City
Chinese mobile gaming firm Rekoo is set to open a London office in the Tech City region of Shoreditch.
Rekoo is one of China's leading mobile game firms, with 500 employees across Asia and 20 million active daily users worldwide.
"As a leading light in China's tech scene, Rekoo's decision is another huge boost for the capital's digital industries," said the Mayor of London Boris Johnson. "Making the most of the great minds, talented workforce, and market opportunities within immediate access of our Tech City makes absolute sense which is why London is fast becoming the digital capital of the world."
The move is significant as Chinese tech firms are often reluctant to interact with the West. But following Rekoo's move to offer their games on Facebook, the company is looking to expand in Europe.
Facebook is yet to penetrate the mainland Chinese market , as Chinese social networks such as WeChat are preferable.
