CBR Staff Writer Published 17 August 2009

Offers comprehensive discovery, monitoring, auditing and analytics of data

Netezza, a provider of data warehouse and analytic appliances, has launched a new Mantra appliance that it claims is the first appliance to offer database activity monitoring integrated with its data warehouse appliances.

According to Netezza, the new Mantra appliance offers comprehensive discovery, monitoring, auditing and analytics of all compliance-sensitive data and activities across its enterprise data warehouse appliances including TwinFin product.

The company claims that the new Mantra appliance delivers complete compliance visibility and risk management with the highest performance and lowest total cost of ownership. It provides critical data discovery, continuous monitoring and auditing access to critical data, and data compliance reports for SOX, PCI, HIPAA, FISMA, GLBA, and many other regulatory requirements.

Jim Baum, president and CEO of Netezza, said: “Netezza’s recent TwinFin announcement and the follow-on family of products extended our leadership for price/performance and investment protection across enterprise scale warehouse appliances.

“With the introduction of the Mantra appliance, Netezza continues to broaden its product portfolio by adding a new dimension to the enterprise warehouse environment – that of trust, security and compliance. With the Mantra appliance integrated within Netezza's offerings, we now offer a robust, trust-worthy data warehouse appliance that will enable our enterprise customers to get ahead of and fully manage compliance, governance and security requirements.”
