Nokia opens shop in China

CBR Staff Writer Published 28 October 2007

Nokia, the world's biggest handset maker, has opened its first retail store in mainland China.

The Shanghai store is also Nokia's first standalone retail store anywhere. The company reckons it will give customers a personalized shopping experience with display screens that show product and store information.

And the products in the store are linked to appropriate accessories, such as headsets, printers and wireless speakers.

The store is Nokia's latest bid to push its business-to-consumer sales. Earlier this year, the company opened a store in Hong Kong. It also has a couple of retail outlets in the US.
