To offer advanced risk analysis and allow integration with other business applications

Oracle has unveiled Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) 9.3, a new enterprise PLM product with advanced risk analysis. The new offering reportedly helps customers to mitigate risk, lower their development and product costs and improve productivity across entire product lifecycle.

According to Oracle, the Agile PLM 9.3 extends the PLM analytics platform to provide - supplier risk analysis to identify high-risk suppliers based on quality, compliance and over exposure, and part risk analysis to categorise and identify newly introduced parts and parts that lack product record information.

The new version also provides product quality analysis to detect which products are most impacted by quality issues, and product design volatility analysis to identify which products or product lines have the most late-stage changes during the product release cycle.

The new version also provides Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) that helps companies to integrate their various components to existing engineering and enterprise systems.

Some of the key features introduced in this release include, SOA Enterprise PLM Platform, Integrated Product Master Data Management to manage data mappings and improve data quality, Application Integration Architecture (AIA) and Web 2.0 user interface.

Agile PLM 9.3 also contains enhancements to processes across all modules including, product collaboration, engineering collaboration, product cost management, product governance and compliance, product quality and project portfolio management, the company said.
