Overland Storage has expanded its support for LTO-5 technology across its line of NEO Series products with the introduction of LTO-5-compatible NEO S Series automated backup and archive offerings.
The company claims that the NEO S Series is designed to eliminate complexity from backup and disaster recovery for small office and departmental infrastructures, featuring simplified backup management, support for disk-based backup and double storage capacity.
According to Overland Storage, the new offering provides features such as partitioning, encryption key management and dual-module scalability. It also allows users to monitor and manage the backup and archive process from anywhere and offers over 76TB of storage capacity.
Overland has also extended its NEO Upgrade and Save Cash-Back Program to include the NEO S Series, providing incentives to upgrade to LTO-5 configurations. NEO S Series LTO-5 offerings will be available starting May 1, 2010, with a starting price of $6495.
