Business security benefit from pooled real-time threat intelligence
Panda Security has gone live with a range of business security services that are backed by its cloud-based threat protection system.
All the new Panda Security services are delivered as a software service and take advantage of so-called Collective Intelligence (CI) technology. Because it does not rely on signature files, the system is able to check in the cloud against Panda systems and deliver feedback all know threats.
In an number of product and service announcements today Panda said its new Managed Email Protection SaaS clean mail service would replace the company’s TrustLayer Mail service. The replacement comes with a redesigned user interface, better spam and user policy administration and an email backup system that allows continued access to email in the event of a corporate email server failure.
The Panda TrustLayer checks against the PandaLabs malware database each time a suspicious file arises. It uses CI to classify suspicious files in seconds and the vendor claims it can offer a 100% virus free guarantee.
For perimeter security, Panda GateDefender now comes with improved detection capabilities because of all the signature files generated through CI. When a suspicious file arises, GateDefender is able to check against PandaLabs latest theat assessment and use CI to speed up the qualification of any potential malware.
The new Panda GateDefender unified threat management option comes in two editions of SB for organisations of up to 50 employees and Performa, which is a highly scalable and load-balancing perimeter security device for larger organisation.
Panda said it had improved the anti-spam capabilities of the system, which can now be used to check for infected machines inside the network perimeter that may be acting as zombies.
