Enterprise ready mobility smart phones brings office computer to mobile device
Samsung Telecommunications America and Sybase have are planning to collaborate to deploy, manage and secure Windows Mobile powered smart phones for enterprise customers. The project is expected to provide mobile knowledge workers with access to business-critical applications.
Under this agreement, Sybase and Samsung Mobile will reduce the complexities with securely extending corporate information to consumers who are bringing personal smart phones into the workplace.
Samsung Mobile selects Sybase on its mobile enterprise application platform to allow enterprises extend information securely. With this deal it also claims to deliver high quality, full-featured and enterprise ready mobility smart phones that bring capabilities of an office computer to a mobile device.
Willie Jow, vice president of Enterprise Mobility Group at Sybase, said: “Building a strategic ecosystem is critical to meeting the demands of the rapidly growing enterprise mobility industry. Our work with Samsung Mobile will arm information workers with enterprise-ready devices capable of easy integration within IT frameworks while maintaining the integrity and privacy of enterprise information.”
