The 101st Tour de France gets underway in Yorkshire this Saturday, marking the second time that the world’s biggest bike race has started in England. Following three stages across the country, culminating in a sprint finish on the Mall on Monday, the race will depart for its usual homeland, leaving us British fans with just the television coverage to satisfy. Here are some of the best ways you can keep up with the action.
ITV has continued its relationship with the Tour with coverage of every stage on ITV4 and selected stages on ITV1. If you can’t get to a television, though, ITV’s Player app is available to download on Android, iOS or Windows Phone devices. You’ll also be able to catch up with previous stages and access the channel’s wealth of background coverage and analysis.
Available in a variety of languages, the race’s official website offers a wealth of information on results, rider profiles and upcoming stages. It will also provide live text commentary along with GPS tracking, and includes coverage of highlights and analysis of the race along with preview videos of upcoming stages.
