The developers of a noir detective game have taken to Kickstarter to try and complete the project.
US-based Glass Bottom Games hopes to raise $20,000 to fund the final six months of creating Hot Tin Roof: The Cat That Wore a Fedora.
The game sees private sleuth Emma Jones, "a two-bit gal in an 8-bit world", and her feline sidekick Franky investigating a number of murders.
The 3D side-scrolling platformer game has already completed its pre-production phase but needs more money to fund the last stages of development.
The team explained: "To get Hot Tin Roof this far took 5 months, and most of our savings. The core side-scrolling, platforming and revolver tech is solid, but we've got a long ways to go in terms of adding content and fleshing out the world.
"The $20k buys us the six more months we need to finish and polish the game."
