Polycom RealPresence Mobile enables users to view content by swapping the view between the content and conference participants

Unified Communications (UC) company Polycom has unveiled Polycom RealPresence Mobile for smartphones.

RealPresence Mobile is a secure video software application for mobile devices that allows mobile device users to connect with other standards-based video systems in HD quality.

The new secure video software application is powered by Polycom RealPresence Platform, the software infrastructure for video collaboration that powers Polycom's HD telepresence and video applications across any environment.

RealPresence Mobile on the iPhone 4S features an intuitive user interface for individual or multi-party video conferences in HD quality, allowing users to view content by swapping the view between the content and conference participants.

Polycom also announced software upgrades to RealPresence Mobile for the iPad2, including the capability to share PDF files from the tablet with other video meeting participants.

Polycom CEO Andy Miller said customers want to collaborate from anywhere, and RealPresence video applications make that possible by connecting people face-to-face.
