Adds one more start-up to its ongoing acquisition spree.

Dropbox has acquired A/B testing firm Predictive Edge - a startup that helps personalise e-commerce offerings, with dynamic pricing, for vendors to send out to users and run A/B trials around them.

Upon the completion of acquisition, the start-up is expected to be wrapped up, with its executives joining Dropbox on non-A/B testing projects.

Dropbox founders Marty, Steven and Kevin, revealed in a joint statement that Predictive Edge is joining forces with their company.

"Going forward we'll be focused on solving problems outside the world of A/B testing," the statement added.

"As of today, you can no longer sign-up for our service, and we've informed current customers that our product will no longer be supported."

Established in 2010 by Kevin Liu, Steven Wu, and Marty Hu, the company's tools enable promoters to test and optimise their online commerce activities, similar to website A/B testing.

The latest purchase marks Dropbox's 17th acquisition, with five of the last six of them mainly targeting services for enterprises.
