Payment gateway firm CreditCall has enabled developers to incorporate its software into their apps.
The company has made a software development kit available for coders to embed its mobile point of sale (mPOS) technology into iOS and Android apps, it announced at Apps World this week.
The mPOS market has grown in the last year, with developers switching from a reliance on front end development income to ongoing income streams from referral payments.
Jeremy Gumbley, CTO at CreditCall, said: "Our mPOS partner programme gives economic incentives for developers to include EMV chip card acceptance in their retail solutions, allowing them to monetise their investment in CreditCall.
"I can't even begin to speculate as to how developers will use our core technology to monetise new types of apps and bring payment to places where traditionally it's not been available."
