Developers using Oracle's Mobile Suite can now deploy apps to Apple's iOS and Google's Android platforms from a single code base, according to the database giant.
It has updated its suite to let developers build enterprise apps that are portable across tablets and smartphones as well as operating systems with the release of Oracle Mobile Application Framework (MAF).
Chris Tonas, VP of mobility and development tools, said: "Oracle Mobile Suite contains everything developers need to extend their enterprise systems to mobile phones and tablets.
"By integrating the mobile application developer experience on both the front and back end, we are helping developers deliver mobile applications to their organization faster and more efficiently."
The announcement sees Oracle make a play for more mobile developers to join its platform, by trying to cut down on coding time for developers, and it comes after last week's launch of SOA Suite 12c to make mobile apps simpler to integrate with Oracle software.
