Tibco adds business intelligence to BPM

CBR Staff Writer Published 07 October 2009

Offers self-service ability to create personalised process reporting and analytics

Tibco Software has released iProcess Spotfire, a new offering that adds business intelligence (BI) to business process management (BPM).

According to Tibco Software, the new offering features, personalised process reporting and analytics; contextualised process performance for users to extract process performance data generated by the BPM and combine it with business data from other applications; and self-service capabilities to enable business users to customise their own reports and analyse the metrics themselves.

The company said that the new iProcess Spotfire provides business users the ability to create real-time process reports, and analyse and modify processes in the context of business for positive impacts on business performance.

In addition to the iProcess Spotfire add-on bundle, the company also launched further enhancements to its BPM offering to include Tibco Business Studio 3.2 and Tibco iProcess Workspace Lite 1.0.

Tibco Business Studio 3.2 provides new features to allow customers visually define the organisation's structure and the relationships between the different components within the organisation while the iProcess Workspace Lite is a HTML workspace client focused on the core activities that process participants need to perform to interact with executing business processes, the company said.

Rourke McNamara, director of product marketing at Tibco, said: Tibco is constantly striving to provide our BPM customers with the most highly-sophisticated business intelligence without sacrificing ease-of-use. With the integration of Tibco iProcess and Tibco Spotfire, we are providing our customers with invaluable business insight and the ability to visualize and adjust their business environments in real time, ultimately increasing operational efficiency.
