Verizon enters into partnership with Samsung

To offer its wholesale customers the Samsung Ubigate series of gateway routers that can be bundled with Verizon IDA service

Verizon has entered into a partnership with Samsung that will allow Verizon Partner Solutions to offer its wholesale customers the Samsung Ubigate series of gateway routers that can be bundled with Verizon Internet Dedicated Access (IDA) service. The internet service-gateway router package is suitable for small- and medium-sized businesses.

Samsung said that its Ubigate series of business gateways offers multiple services in a single, consolidated networking device. The device is integrated with essential capabilities such as firewalls, VPNs, IP telephony, caching, Quality of Service (QoS) Stream and multicasting provided from a single platform.

Verizon Partner Solutions sells networks and network capabilities to telecom service providers, including long-distance providers, local service providers, wireless carriers, cable companies, integrators, internet service providers and international telecommunications carriers based in the US.

Amy Stern, director of product management and product development of Verizon Partner Solutions, said: The arrangement demonstrates our commitment to the growing small- and medium-sized business sector of the economy. The key is offering our wholesale customers an array of telecom products that are competitive in their markets.
