Luca Maestri will replace Betsy Rafael.
Xerox chief financial officer, Luca Maestri, will leave the company by 28 February 2013 and take over as a corporate controller at Apple.
Maestri will be replacing Betsy Rafael, Apple's corporate controller and principal accounting officer, who had announced retirement in June 2012.
Xerox chairman, chief executive officer Ursula Burns said that Luca was instrumental in the transformation of Xerox into a services enterprise.
"He's helped strengthen our financial foundation, which will serve his successor, our company and our shareholders well for the long term," said Burns.
Maestri said: "I came to Xerox with a strong belief in its strategic direction and I leave with even greater confidence in the company's rich opportunity as a leader in outsourcing services and document technology."
Xerox, which is reported to have started searching for a new CFO, said that the company remains on track to meet its fourth-quarter guidance, which includes GAAP earnings per share.
