CBR Staff Writer Published 02 July 2009

The new app enables users to keep track of their contacts, phone numbers and email addresses

XING, one of Europe’s business networks, has launched a new app for BlackBerry smartphones. The new app, which is offered as a free download, is expected to help users to keep track of their contacts, phone numbers and email addresses wherever the users may be.

According to XING, the new 'What’s new in your network' feature lets mobile users to stay informed on the developments in their personal network and helps them to keep others informed by posting status messages of their own.

The new app reportedly synchronises specific contact data on XING with the users’ address book contacts on their BlackBerry smartphones; people on the move could also call or email contacts, in their network, using the XING app.

Jason Goldberg, chief product officer at XING, said: “One of the top requests from XING members is for better mobile access to the platform. XING members want easier and faster ways to access and communicate with their XING contacts on the go, wherever they are.”
