The new app directory and platform will make it easier to build social networking features into business applications.
The new feature aims to help developers save time in building features like feeds, profiles and likes for enterprise applications.
The "enterprise graph" experience includes an app directory in which third party applications can appear in, after they have meet certain privacy and security guidelines.
The new experience aims for employees, content and business data to be connected in the workplace.
"This release standardizes enterprise social into a simple set of tools that the entire industry can use," said David Sacks, Yammer founder and corporate vice president, Microsoft Corp. "It will not only save developers a lot of time reinventing the wheel but also create a uniform social experience for all employees across their business applications."
The enterprise graph feature is now available to all customers.
Yammer has also introduced integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM. The new integration will allow customers to embed Yammer feeds as well as follow and like buttons into certain CRM records.
When an action is done on a certain customer record or deal, a page is created in page where employees can collaborate on that record. Any interactions on Yammer about that deal are also embedded on the customer record in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
