COMPANY PRESS RELEASE: 724 Solutions Inc. has teamed with Bank of America (Asia) to launch a new, carrier-independent wireless service that allows personal banking customers in Hong Kong to perform secure banking transactions over a variety of Internet-enabled devices – including Wireless Application Protocol (WAP)-enabled phones and personal digital assistants (PDAs).
The Bank of America (Asia) Wireless Banking Service enables the bank’s Hong Kong customers to access real-time account information and perform banking functions such as:
Viewing account balances and transaction histories;
Accessing mutual fund and share trading account portfolios;
Transferring funds between accounts;
Purchasing and selling foreign currencies.
Wireless share trading and actionable alert services are planned in future rollouts.
