SaaS based security offering is designed to free up resources.
IBM is implementing its QRadar Security Intelligence technology on the cloud in order to help companies to prioritise threats.
The technology will free up resources to combat cyberattacks and will be available through a SaaS model with optional Security Managed Services.
Security Intelligence on cloud works to determine if security related events are just anomalies or actual threats. It uses information from over 500 data sources for devices, systems and applications and also uses more than 1500 pre-defined reports for use cases such as compliance.
Jason Corbin, Vice President, Product Management and Strategy, IBM Security, said: "Organizations are facing a security data tsunami that can overwhelm even the most sophisticated enterprise’s security program."
"Security leaders are telling us they want increased visibility through the cloud and control throughout their hybrid IT environments."
"The option of doing predictive analytics via the cloud gives security teams the flexibility to bring in skills, innovation and information on demand across all of their security environments."
Also included within the service is Intelligent Log Management, which is designed to help simplify security and compliance data collection. It is a hosted, multi-tenant technology that has correlation and anomaly detection capabilities.
