Bamboo Solutions, a provider of technologies that enhance Microsoft SharePoint, has released the new version of its SharePoint Project Management Central (PM Central) that enables managers with flexibility while planning, budgeting and executing against defined goals.
PM Central provides interactive workspaces for project teams, enhancing the native collaborative capabilities of the Microsoft SharePoint platform, the company said.
The new product provides data aggregation, tracking and scheduling, document management and collaboration, and communication tools.
As a Project Management Information System (PMIS), PM Central offers project portfolio management, task and schedule management, team communication, document management and collaboration, and issue, cost, risk and resource management.
The new features expand on project-management practices to improve users’ ability to perform and manage their daily work and projects beyond simple data and task management in SharePoint.
The new PM Central features usability, improved dashboard and reporting, enhanced project and resource management.
Bamboo Solutions chief operating officer Lam Le said the enhancements in PM Central 2.0 come directly from professional project managers.
The company said PM Central includes pre-built site definitions and Bamboo’s most popular Web Parts, which can be immediately utilised and further customised across the SharePoint deployment.
