For enterprise reporting, ETL and application integration
Datawatch has unveiled Monarch Data Pump V10.5 Standard Edition, an upgrade to its server-based data distribution ETL (Extraction, Transformation, Loading) and application integration offering.
In addition to new data, analytic and styling capabilities, and access to new data sources, the new version includes compliance and auditing features which allows users to create and export Microsoft Office Excel 2007 spreadsheets containing a copy of the original report source of the data eliminating spreadsheet-induced uncertainty, reducing the audit cycle and easing compliance, the company said.
According to Datawatch, the Monarch Data Pump V10.5 automatically delivers corporate reports in the format users want, along with the original report source for viewing and auditing within the same Excel file without programming, database work or altering any current system output.
The new offering also includes source report file in XLSX/XLSM export for enhanced compliance and auditability of excel spreadsheets and embed digital signatures in XLSX/XLSM export for enhanced security. It exports data to PivotTables in XLSX/XLSM files for analysis and inserts document properties in XLSX/XLSM files to improve searchability, especially in SharePoint, the company said.
John Kitchen, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Datawatch, said: “Automating the process of acquiring, analysing and distributing high quality data to data marts or to end users in Excel can be very difficult and expensive when using traditional database-oriented tools.
“Monarch Data Pump V10.5 solves these challenges and adds new data, analytic and styling capabilities to the superior automated reporting, data delivery and ETL capabilities our customers continue to rely on. Monarch Data Pump V10.5 also provides new features to address the spreadsheet compliance and auditing challenges organisations face at a fraction of the cost, time and complexity of alternative solutions.”
