Enables partners to infuse Netezza into their business model
IBM has launched a global programme to help its business partners expand their analytics portfolio with Netezza appliances.
IBM said the initiative will provide partners with sales, marketing, and technical resources to make it easier to market and sell Netezza systems.
Netezza appliances are workload optimised systems based on IBM BladeCenter servers, with integrated hardware and software designed for industry-specific needs.
The company notes Netezza appliances offer an entry point for IBM partners into business analytics, which is going mainstream.
Credit-qualified IBM partners in North America can leverage a new 24-month lease to test Netezza inside their data centres for demonstration, development and training purposes.
IBM partners can bring clients into any of the company’s network of 40 innovation centres to test Netezza appliances, where partners can also build and optimise a new generation of business analytics applications to run on top of Netezza appliances.
On 1 October, qualified IBM partners can become authorised to resell Netezza appliances under the Software Value Plus programme (SVP), IBM’s authorised distribution model.
IBM said authorisation will help ensure that clients reduce the risk inherent in any deployment, with benefits to partners being co-marketing funds to drive new leads, the use of a mark to distinguish partners from their competitors.
