Enterprise-class Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) offerings provider iTRACS has introduced a new level of automation in its Converged Physical Infrastructure Management (CPIM) software portfolio.
With CPIM iCDC v2.4.1, iTRACS customers are provided with a range of enhanced DCIM capabilities to help accelerate knowledge-based decision-making and change management in complex infrastructure environments.
CPIM iCDC v2.4.1 offers true row-based capacity and white space management, automatically tracks and reserves space at the cabinet level, helps users to generate even faster time-to-value from their physical infrastructure, simplifies the adoption and ongoing maintenance of their DCIM offering, optimises the accuracy of their data centre models without any manual intervention, and generates a higher continuous return on their DCIM investment.
CPIM automaticlly reviews all power and network connectivity, identifies actual available row space, and confirms the ideal physical space for the new assets, right down to the millimetre and it also automates the placement of vertical-mount power strips, turning a manual, unmanaged placement process into an automated, managed one.
In addition, CPIM iCDC v2.4.1 automates and accelerates the build-out of the data centre model by linking operational asset databases with the iTRACS system, using the iTRACS open web service platform to continuously synchronise data between the environments.
iTRACS president and CEO Elizabeth Given said customers will see quantifiable improvements in how efficiently they can manage the complex interrelationships between assets, conduct moves, adds, and changes and commission assets.
