Adds processing capabilities for web 2.0 applications
Janya has launched a new version of text analytics platform Semantex 4.5, which includes features such as, processing capabilities for web 2.0 applications like chat, blogs, email, and other social media; UTF-8 unicode compliance to support multilingual extraction; enterprise or multi-threaded deployment options; and web-enabled APIs.
Janya said Semantex 4.5 is able to power a range of offerings from E-discovery and compliance monitoring to information integration in enterprise systems. Semantex Enterprise and Semantex Workgroup are both scalable through a distributed architecture and multi-threading, respectively.
According to Janya, Semantex Workbench is an intuitive graphical interface that allows subject matter experts to tailor extraction through a range of simple-to-sophisticated dictionary, pattern, and statistical approaches. The Semantex Web API provides a SOAP interface for deployment in a service oriented architecture based offering.
Rohini Srihari, founder and CEO of Janya, said: To effectively manage and exploit the surge of unstructured data, text analysis platforms must be able to scale to handle large volumes of heterogeneous data, fit neatly into service oriented architectures, exploit text in multiple languages, and most importantly, be easily customisable for a customer’s unique needs. Semantex 4.5 addresses each of those concerns and helps customers gain meaningful insight from their data.
