Oracle has launched the Oracle BI Mobile App Designer designed to help businesses create analytical applications for mobile devices.
Oracle said the release has expanded its business intelligence (BI) mobile application portfolio and should allow users to stay connected to their businesses with real-time insights.
Oracle’s VP for product management Paul Rodwick said:"The new Oracle BI mobile capability enables business users to deliver powerful analytic apps self-sufficiently, for use on any mobile device, to improve business outcomes and ensure everyone is effective while on the go."
The applications can be run using HTML5 on iOS, Android, and Windows OS based mobile smartphones and tablets, and offer automatic display for different screen sizes.
The new tool, which is a component of Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation Suite, is available for the Oracle BI Mobile option andOracle BI Enterprise Edition.
The tool comes with drag-and-drop design interface and is capable of creating mobile applications without need for its installation.
