With the new office, the company aims to increase the business by 50%
Software and services provider Revolution Analytics has opened a new office in London that will host its European team.
The move is part of the company’s plan to expand its rest of world business to over 50% of total sales by 2017.
According to the company, UK and continental European universities use its open source R programming language as the tool for undergraduate and post graduate studies.
Revolution Analytics international business units managing director Neil Miller said that the company’s website is used as a source of information for R and it is seeing significant demand from Europe.
"The UK, Germany, and France are driving this trend. We believe European companies are ideally positioned to reap the benefits of the highly educated talent pool of data scientists coming out of our top universities," Miller said.
"We are already seeing huge interest in Revolution Analytics in Europe with over 100 customers engaged with us at various stages of the buying cycle over the last few months."
The company established in 2007 has customers and technology partners including IBM, Teradata, Hortonworks and Cloudera.
The company offers Revolution R Enterprise workstation and server software for organisations that need faster Big Data, analytics platform.
